The reference for leather sector certifications
Given the attention to circularity issues and to underline the important recovery activity of a by-product that characterizes the tanning industry, the ethical claim "we recover our leathers from the food chain" becomes certifiable by ICEC according to the document ICEC_TS 733, to strengthen its authority in the eyes of the recipients.
It is applicable to a system of products (finished or semi-finished leathers) created and / or managed by the Organization from the same raw materials purchased and to which the verification of the claim is combined.
The aim is to make it verifiable through ICEC checks that raw leather is a BY-PRODUCT of the food chain.
This certification can also be integrated with the ICEC TS410 / 412 traceability schemes.
