With a view to expanding and consolidating collaborations with major European production and technical companies, such as the CTIC (Technological Center das Industrias do Couro) in Portugal and the Leather Cluster of Barcelona in Spain, ICEC proposes and signs these two new agreements in September 2019 of intent.
The diffusion of certification schemes, in particular for traceability and made in, training, support for every activity that enhances and promotes the sustainability of the tanning sector and leather products becomes a focus for these partners that will soon give the to new collaborative initiatives in favor of its customers and associates.
In the same spirit, ICEC is also consolidating collaborations with other trade associations, in particular European ones.
While since March 2018 a partnership agreement had been signed with the CSCB (Brazilian Leather Certification of Sustainability) in the ICT field and with the support of UNIC and CICB, for the mutual recognition of certifications. Never so useful as at this time of great relevance on topics of interest that concern the supply of raw materials from the Brazilian supply chain.
