The reference for leather sector certifications
Certification applicable to
The ICEC certification is issued to tanneries that are certified in the environmental, ethical-social, economic and product areas.
The attestation can be issued to the companies which write and display to ICEC a specific synthetic document called “Sustainability bill or policy”, where they describe their commitment to sustainability, based on the certifications in their possession. All the companies which obtained this attestation are in the certified companies database.
As an alternative to the above, the Trademark is issued in the face of the following two circumstances, which must both be cumulatively present:
the adoption by the company of a "Disciplinary", agreed with ICEC, which describes the certification process undertaken by the company in all three areas of environmental sustainability (AREA 1), ethical-social (AREA 2) economic and product (AREA 3);
the achievement, by the company, of the ICEC certification of the "Disciplinary" in order to verify that it has been effectively implemented.
